I present one of the most ambitious photoessays ever attempted online. The impetus arose from a personal challenge: could I sustain substantial work over an extended period of time? Furthermore, am I able to communicate honestly with myself over issues of my own identity?

I feel that my work demonstrates that my intellect, ability, and creativity rises above any and all challenges. This work provides me with proof of what was until then an untested belief. Yet, I had to believe in myself enough to test for the validation.

Additionally, I was able to chart their growth both as a person and photographer over a predefined period of time. Where I started, and where I ended may seem similar to the uninitiated. The subtle differences over time, however, speak of a similarity made deeper.
