
Part of any good art is an appreciation of fine material culture. Artists appreciate the finer material goods that the society provides. In fact, artists are the only class of people who deserve the better materials; for artists are the only group who consistently interact with material. Thus, artists are in a unique position to appreciate the differences between good and bad culture.
Therefore, for the sake of artistic expression, these are the things that I require for continued survival. This is not some mere want list; these are the required material benefits which I need to produce my work. To be deprived of these benefits is akin to death itself. Death, in all the horror and misery that the very word "death" implies.
